Week Update

Last Saturdays Odd + Even market was successful I had a fantastic time there and it was really good to meet a lot of cool new people. I did a swap with a few artists and I got some funky cat rabbit earrings from Cat Badcock just love them and have been wearing them too work have had a lot of people at work saying that they are cool. I also did a swap with Liisa from kiswa and got a really cool reversible coin pouch / wallet I am so happy with it I have been showing it off just love the screen printing and the versatile design definitely one talented couple.

 

Also a friend purchased an owl at the market and I have received some photos of the owl’s adventures out at a Christmas dinner.  

 

Oh also have decided with some help of feedback from friends that the name of the new plush design will be called Elky. Thank you to Barbara for the suggestion we don’t have elks and other cool woodland creatures in Tasmania so I would never have come up with the name Elky.

 

On Sunday I was a nice big sister and took my one of my sisters to town shopping (I had to get a few more things for my husband) anyway thought that I should spoil myself because I have been working hard sewing (e.g. only getting 4 hrs sleep the last few nights leading up to the market) so I finally purchased the Lady Hawke CD been listening to it this week and just love her music reminds me of roller skates, 80s movies and Atari games.

Anyway better go a do more Christmas stuff.

New Plush..

I have created a new plush design which will feature in the upcoming market. Now I just need a name for the plush any ideas for a name post your suggestions.

Weekend update !

I have been very busy over the weekend sewing getting ready for the Odd + Even market which will be on Saturday the 20^th of December  and also finishing off a commissioned order for plushies for Christmas gifts

anyway my typical sewing weekend is filled with trying to balance the cat (Mouse) on my lap and sew at the same time.

Kooshan the Christmas cat

Today after work Alan and myself went shopping for a few wrapping paper and ribbon, our Christmas colour theme is blue and sliver we ended up getting white and sliver wrapping paper and some nice blue Saturn ribbon. While looking around I saw a Christmas hat for animals so we got one just for laughs. So when we got home Kooshan was the first to try the hat on (he is a very tolerant cat I think he thinks he is a dog at time he has a few non-cat behaviours) anyway Kooshan was good and put the hat on he looked so cute but with the usual “I am not happy look”. Kooshan was aloud to venture outside to play in the grass and well have a mini photo shoot.

New Stocklist

New stock has arrived at Love and Clutter in Hobart, so excited in having another store stocking my plush toys.

 

I will be having a stall at the odd + even market which will be held in Hobart on the 20^th of December (good for a few last minute Christmas gifts) so bet you can guess what I will be doing this weekend sewing and some more sewing. So to end this quick post I will leave you with a few images of some soft toys that I will have at the odd + even market.

I will make a final comment, just as I was about to post I heard a loud bang, yes it was Kooshan being bad again (as Alan likes to say ‘he is your cat’). So Id better go and see what mayhem this cat has caused or should I say what dishes has he broken this time.
